Matter Moves Into New Midtown West Office

June 23, 2007

After three years of occupying a space in the 1011 Marietta Street NW Midtown West Brickworks location, Matter has opened a new 5000 square foot office and studio across the street in the Brickworks 1000 Marietta Street NW location, announced Matter co-founder and Executive Creative Director Ash Arnett.

“Matter has doubled in size since 2004 and our continued growth made it necessary to establish a working space designed to support our large client base and our expanding staff,” Arnett said. We love this area where the energy of the city is focused, and where the emphasis is on historic preservation. Giving established buildings new futures is consistent with the kind of work we do for our client’s brands.” Arnett said. “Our new office and studio location in the heart of Midtown West will accomplish that goal.”

“We’re excited to be a continuing part of the revitalization efforts of developer Richard Martin,” said Arnett. “Our specific space, with its great glass walls looking out onto the Norfolk Southern railroad line, was originally a livestock barn at the turn of the 1900s and was last a furniture warehouse for the Ivan Allen Company. We see that connection to Allen resonating with our involvement in successful business, products, social change, community development, and politics. We’ve barely moved into the space but have already hosted events for clients Kellogg Foundation and GOAL. Both Ivan Allen, Sr and Ivan Allen, Jr fueled several waves of commerce and social change in Atlanta. We’re glad to contribute to the next wave.”

Matter joins a growing bevy of enterprises setting up shop in the Midtown West area. Fizz City Films, Toscano & Sons Italian Market, Waldenour eco-friendly furnishings, coffee emporium Octane, and Six Feet Under restaurant all occupy spaces within the booming Midtown West district.
