Major label recording artist web site design | In 2006, preparing to release her “Half the Perfect World” CD, Madeleine sought to regain control of her web site from her label and create a personalized and sophisticated web presence. Madeleine desired a site aligned with with her artistic sensibilities and her fans’ requests. She wanted a site that was beautiful, as well as quick and easy to maintain. Her label, Rounder Records, recommended Matter.

Madeleine Peyroux is an extraordinary and accomplished musician. She is truly a singular presence in the world of jazz, blues and pop music, so unique that critics reach for touchstones like Billie and Ella when attempting to describe the beautiful gift that is Madeleine’s voice. Her sophistication and style are plainly evident in the songs she sings and in the photography and graphic images that accompany her album releases. Her second CD release, 2004’s “Careless Love,” sold over a million copies worldwide.

It is Madeleine’s sophisticated, personal, and playful style that we wished to evoke through a redesign of MadeleinePeyroux.com. The new site launched in September of 2006 (along with a companion MySpace page) as the release of “Half the Perfect World” hit the streets. All of Madeleine’s online venues continue to maintain very high traffic from fans around the world.
